WES Conference 2008 was held from Friday 12 September to Saturday 13 September, 2008 at University of Greenwich, Medway Campus, Chatham, Kent.

The conference included an Opening Address by Dr Stuart Ashenden on the Medway Maritime, which was followed after by a visit to the Wolfson Centre for Bulk Solids Handling Technology.

Kate Bellingham was the after dinner speaker.

Saturday started with WES Annual General Meeting followed by keynote speaker: Allie Macadam, Project Director HS1, who spoke about the successful delivery of St Pancras Regeneration, an £800m project on a working railway station.
