Jan Peters: President

The Power of Change, the WES 90th anniversary conference will challenge engineers, female and male to look to the future. Themes cover power, innovation and change. Speakers are engineers, technologists, thought leaders and personal development professionals providing a dynamic and engaging forum for engineers to connect and broaden their horizons.

The programme committee have brought together inspiring speakers to offer sessions that are both technical but accessible.

As part of our development strategy we are delighted to have a workshop sponsored by BP, ‘Connecting Networks’ and invite Diversity & Inclusion, HR and women’s network leaders to join us.

For those of you trying to persuade your employer to let you attend the conference, we've put together ten good reasons.

We are thrilled this year to feature an interactive school activity to connect regional school girls with professional women engineers in sessions sponsored by Rolls Royce. We need volunteers to give up part of a coffee break to be interviewed about their career and life by 12-15 year old students, so make sure you tick the box when you register.

Thank you to BP and UKRC for supporting The Power of Change.

I wish you all an informative and enjoyable conference.

Jan Peters, President
